Move Within Yoga is free-breath yoga for modern people. Humans are not the same as they were hundreds of years ago. What was suitable yoga practice 1,000 years ago, 300 years ago or even 100 years ago is not necessarily beneficial for people now. We practice classical yoga asanas, flowing through these poses in a creative way that's ideal for the Western person living in the 21st century.
"I began practicing with Stephanie four years ago. She has a very soft and calming presence, yet it is immediately evident that she knows her craft. Stephanie is able to guide a class of students at multiple levels, encouraging each one at their own pace, and making suggestions and modifications where needed." - Kelly I.
Movements in Move Within are accompanied by imagination, objectivity, and observation. Through this yoga, we become more stable, not just in our physical bodies, but in our emotional states. We observe life with more objectivity instead of being dominated by subjective viewpoints and emotional triggers.
We develop greater capacity to balance, not just on one leg, but our thoughts, feelings, and will. We experience harmony, not just in bodily movements, but also between our individuality-independence and compassion-empathy for other living beings.
Free breath and this new, contemporary yoga are based on the work Heinz Grill, whose New Yoga Will (http://newyogawill.net/) is taught throughout Europe.
