Attentiveness in Cobra, Move Within Video 23

When we bring attentiveness into cobra we notice a transition from limitation to openness.

It's a sign of the times: with most of the world's population still in lock-down of some form or another, most of us are feeling restraint or constriction. It's unavoidable.

But even in this atmosphere there is room to open, room to increase our perspective and room to receive - it just might not come in ways we expect and might require now more attentiveness and awareness from us. We're not on autopilot anymore!

In this video, we prep the upper chest, forearms and elbows for cobra in a gentle series of repetitions. We start lifting up with baby cobra and then gradually increase our lift to upward dog. Don't strain the shoulders "trying" to get higher. The spine is ultimately doing the heavy lifting.

For live instruction, I'm holding group Zoom classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and private classes on Mondays and Fridays. For more information, email me at movewithinyoga@gmail.com.
